September 10, 2010

There is no poster available yet, but surely this will be one of the movies that makes me want to fast forward to September. esident Evil: Afterlife picks up where the third film left off. Since the events of Resident Evil Extinction, Alice has been roaming the world searching for any remaining survivors. As she enters the ruined Los Angeles she stumbles onto a prison surrounded by zombies.

Starring Leonardo di Caprio 2nds my list.
The movie is about:
Two U.S. Marshalls are sent to a federal institution for the criminally insane located in Boston's Outer Harbor to capture a violent female escapee.
Its an adaptation of a book by Dennis Lehane who also wrote Mystic River and Gone, Baby Gone.

I never really understood the story but I will see this just because there is Johnny Depp in it.
I heard that this is not the real Alice in Wonderland story but a sequel or something.
It is about 19-year-old Alice returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror.

Starring Sam Worthington, who had the good fortune to star in a little film you might have heard of called Avatar, it’s loosely based on the Greek myth of Perseus and a re-make of the 1981 film of the same name.  You remember the 1981 version don’t you?  It starred Harry Hamlin and Ursula Andress?  It had Laurence Olivier playing Zeus and Medusa the monster with snakes for hair who could turn soldiers to stone with a single glance?
Yeah, that one!
The plot has something to do with Greek Gods battling each other, a hero’s quest,  and most importantly, lots and lots of epic battles and monsters.

I love the 3 movies that came before this so that means it will be as good.

Robert Downey Junior rocks my socks too!
All the other comic super heroes made for the big screen irks me, not to mention Daredevil.
Imagine my surprise when he guy from Swingers directed one of the most exciting and faithful adaptations of a super-hero ever to be brought to the silver screen.  Add in Scarlett Johansson in tight leather, John Favreau back in the director’s seat, and the addition of War Machine to the film, and I’m getting fairly excited.

Just watching the trailer made me cry my guts out.
Need I say more?
Its about world domination and stealing the moon with the help of "minions".
Stars funny people like Steve Carrel and Russel Brandt.

Perhaps one of the most secretive films of the summer, all that we know about it is the single-line description of plot which has been released:  “A contemporary science fiction action thriller set within the architecture of the mind.”
Sounds intriguing, no?
Also stars Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger, Michael Caine, and Lukas Haas.

Even though I am on team Jennifer, it still does not change the fact that I think Angelina Jolie
is the greatest action hero of today.  Yes, greater than the men around her.
It is about:
Before becoming a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt swore an oath to duty, honor, and country. She will prove loyal to these when a defector accuses her of being a Russian sleeper spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture, protect her husband, and stay one step ahead of her colleagues at the CIA.

I never ever ever was a fan of dance movies, but when I saw Tatum Channing groove his bootey, I was officially hooked.  Too bad there will be no hunkable Tatum on this one.  But lets face it,
the movie is awesome and makes me want to learn
how to dance.  It stars the same people from the second film.

I read that this was going to be a classic!  Disney is doing it old school!
Everything is digital nowadays so its a good idea that
they make this a classic hand drawn movie.
I can't wait!
